Don't see it if you only like certain styles of music or dislike strong characters. Really I can't think of who might hate this show.
See it if you want to experience musical theater at it's best. It grabs you from the first song. Superb cast.
Don't see it if you only like light/traditional musical theater. This is different from anything else on Broadway.
See it if You like Greek mythology. You follow trends. Hadestown is one of those shows that “everyone” loves. You’ll be expected to love it too.
Don't see it if You want a clearly explained story, clear explanations of who the characters are, if you like high stakes and legitimate conflict.
See it if you love musicals. All of it is great - cast, music, staging. Such a magical night.
Don't see it if I'm having a hard time thinking of who wouldn't like the show - I suppose it may not be your taste if you prefer jukebox or movie musicals
See it if You want something new. Chavkin's staging is a wonder to behold. The score is gorgeous, the set beautiful, and the cast phenomenal.
Don't see it if You need a traditional musical but I would still suggest giving it a chance.
See it if Old stories presented in a new light, marvelous music, dynamic staging, stirring and heart breaking, beautiful designs
Don't see it if Only avoid this show if you absolutely must have a Hollywood happy ending. And even then, you probably should go anyway.
See it if you love great performance & music & a fantastically done everything. (three days out and I'm still trying to put words to the experience)
Don't see it if You want great character depth, they're banking on myth knowledge I think, but that's my only complaint. It's masterfully presented.

See it if you want a completely unique experience. The staging, the lighting, the acting and singing are amazing. I said "wow" out loud several times.
