Clever, Relevant, Excellent direction, Great staging, Thought-provoking

See it if You are interested in the history of theatre and seeing how far we have come. There are some moments of beautiful symbolism in this play.

Don't see it if You don't have an open mind or don't like learning about a culture that may be different from your own or if you want a big production. Read more

Ambitious, Great acting, Intelligent, Relevant, Thought-provoking

See it if You enjoy historical drama, interested in Yiddish theater, believe freedom of artistic expression is important, seek provocative theater

Don't see it if If you want tight linear plots, think foreign language in theater is boring, don't believe free expression is worth a night at the theater

Intelligent, Masterful, Profound, Thought-provoking, Slow

See it if u like historically fascinating plays that look and feel like they are better suited to a smaller intimate theater for a more cerebral crowd

Don't see it if u bore by historical plays that are intriguing & resonant but drawn out despite the wonderful masterful ensemble cast

A nice history lesson, but a less absorbing play

See it if You are into the history of plays and performance, and like Jewish-themed play with a little flavor of klezmer.

Don't see it if You expect A+ theatre; this is more of a B. The intimate scenes were the best, and Richard Topol is magnificent. But, too PUT together.
