82
Delightful, Cliched, Resonant, Hilarious, Great staging

See it if you enjoy a funny show that almost always entertains with a poppy score. Like flashy and big productions and some memorable performances.

Don't see it if you are bothered by an unevenness in performance quality and general show whereby everything mostly works but has something that doesn't

Entertaining, Great acting, Romantic, Great staging, Must see

See it if I 1st saw this show TV-star Wayne as the feisty cross-dressing "Lola." but recently saw the return of Billy Porter in his Tony-winning role!

Don't see it if Prudes may not like their men in women's clothes, but the amazing costumes in this show could change your mind. Pity for the colorblind-WOW!

Delightful, Great staging, Fun, Great singing, Entertaining

See it if you love musicals with great music, dancing, staging - BROADWAY. A great show to see when you are coming to NYC from out of town.

Don't see it if you don't like beautiful drag queens because you obviously don't know how to have fun.

72
Entertaining, Confusing, Banal, Tuneful, Professional

See it if you want to see last year's model of a musical with drag as the route to tolerance. WBrady's a joy. Lauper's score'll make u shake yr booty.

Don't see it if kink or clarity is desired. Is Lola gay? Fierstein's book confuses the issue. It's all ready to wear. But stitched w care & staged w craft.

70
Entertaining, Funny, Great costumes, Self-affirming, Underwhelming

See it if You want a musical that takes more risk in theme than production. Solid entertainment. Much better costumes than music. Mingo Jr standout.

Don't see it if You're looking to be really challenged. Uneven writing. Felt like some verses were missing. Predictable. Occasional lazy staging. Still fun.

75
Clever, Entertaining, Funny, Fluffy, Must see

See it if you like a good score. The music is catchy, the story is well done, and the acting is great.

Don't see it if men in dresses bothers you. Otherwise, you'll love the show!

See it if you want a great time with dynamic Cyndi Lauper music/lyrics, Jerry Mitchell direction/choreography, and book by Harvey Fierstein. Fabulous!

Don't see it if you prefer not to be in the hands of some of the greatest creative people Broadway offers. So much FUN with lots of kinky red boots!

88
Edgy, Funny, Refreshing, Relevant, Great staging

See it if you want singing dancing splendor - and have an open mind

Don't see it if you're more on the prudish side

80
Entertaining, Original, Engaging

See it if You want to see a fun, light, yet not overly fluffy musical. The story has heart.

Don't see it if You expect it to be what it once was; now that it has been running a few years, it has started to lose some of its vibrancy.

Entertaining, Funny, Fluffy, Refreshing, Dragalicious

See it if you're up for a mostly lighthearted theatrical romp.

Don't see it if you're put off by men in drag.

Clever, Romantic, Thought-provoking, Original, Great singing

See it if You are looking for a totally original story (based on actual events!) that is interesting and heart-warming. Great performances and cast.

Don't see it if You like flashy, fun musicals. Despite the subject matter, it's very much an old-fashioned musical (in a good way).

73
Entertaining, Resonant

See it if You want to celebrate sexual diversity. You have a shoe fetish.

Don't see it if The show is entertaining, but highly predictable. Really don't see it if you're a homophobic conservative and want to stay that way.
