Glacial, Intense, Great staging, Edgy, Entertaining

See it if Immersive alternative-world clown spectacle, where the question is answered: What happens when the strip hits the fan?

Don't see it if Intrusive and glacial pantomime events with the final gale force experience way too intense for children and perhaps, triggering for adults Read more

See it if You love magical, dry-humor clowning, even if it’s a little slow at times. The payoff — especially the ending — is completely worth it.

Don't see it if You dislike clowns or think this is a total family show. While it is, & many kids may enjoy it, many may find it creepy and/or boring.

3/5 Stars "A preshow advisory would do well to insist that patrons must love clowns. How else to enjoy 100 minutes of vaguely amusing pantomime...But if you can embrace the logic of nonsense and surrender your personal boundaries to the spirit of the season, you may find this blizzard a blast."

"If children's laughter is the barometer of a show's success, then 'Slava's Snowshow' at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre is a certified hit...The ability to make children (and adults) smile with delight can't be underestimated and there are smiles aplenty in this silly show the whole family can enjoy."

"This wordless show is family entertainment, connecting with the child in all of us. It is rather sophisticated, more Samuel Beckett than Cirque du Soleil, so it may not be appropriate for the youngest members of the family unless they are seasoned theatergoers."

"Then, unlike anything else, there is 'Slava's Snowshow,' the amazing spectacle...There is the moon, the train, smoke, explosions...As Act One ends with a little help from the audience, you are captured by their ingenuity, like a spider drawing you into their web."

"Confetti, water, fusillades of giant beach balls dumped on, squirted and shot at the audience...(In this) silly, wordless, plotless, pointless and popular show Much of the show is a series of moments too sketchy to be called scenes and too scenic to be called sketches."
