Based on Frank Wedekind's play of the same name, Spring Awakening depicts a dozen young people making their way through the thrilling, complicated and mysterious time of sexual awakening.
See it if Interesting concept. Some parts work better than others. The music is great. The singing is wonderful, the acting is not.
Don't see it if it's bare bones to the bare bones. The story is dated. The new production is way better, more exciting and moving.
See it if You want to take your teenager to a more important, relevant musical.
Don't see it if You dislike rock musicals or can't talk to your teenager about sex.
See it if you want to see a modern, well written production, excellent choreography, and an up and coming cast of future stars

Don't see it if You can't stand goofy, melodramatic dialogue...albeit that dialogue ensconced in extraordinarily beautiful music performed by an epic cast.
See it if emotional story telling in a musical is the thing that drives you, along with powerful singing and staging. a must see

See it if I saw the original, and this revival was better. The casting choices made the show work in a deeper and more meaningful way. Piercing.
