Ambitious, Dizzying, Entertaining, Enchanting

See it if you want to see superb magic and some tricks that will make your head spin. I honestly was amazed at points and was entertained throughout.

Don't see it if magic you can't figure out makes you uncomfortable or you are tired of magicians assistants being scantly clothed models who do nothing.

Fast-paced, Absorbing, Lacking female talent (women are “assistants” but never main players), Uneven (sometimes masterful, sometimes puerile), Entertaining

See it if you want family-friendly, semi-interactive fare to put you in the holiday spirit; love magicians, mentalists, comics, and/or vaudevillians.

Don't see it if expecting a cohesive, narrative “story” imbedded within this series of magical and mentalist acts; expecting a “grand finale” act that wows. Read more

See it if It's professional magic. If you like that sort of thing, this is the sort of thing you'll like. Many different kinds of magic are on display

Don't see it if You don't like magic? It's not must-see, but it's a very fun evening.

"Holiday Magic: Fooled and Fooled and Fooled Again: In its sixth year on Broadway, 'The Illusionists' serves up familiar routines, but two smaller shows deliver egghead charm and brainy sleight-of-hand."

3/5 Stars. "There's little particularly holiday-ish about this 'Magic of the Holidays,' but there are six magicians of various kinds conjuring up some easygoing entertainment."

Score: 90% "A two-hour entertainment that reaches out into the audience and wows everyone with a show of depth and variety that will tickle your funny bone, leave you scratching your head utterly flummoxed and amazed. Seriously."

"Admittedly, New York City is full of ways to make two hours 'disappear' during the holiday season - looking at store windows, shopping for gifts, ice skating - but few if any of these options can provide both the thrills and laughs of the latest edition of 'The Illusionists,' now at the Neil Simon Theatre."
