Great lead performance, Entertaining, Shallow, By-the-numbers, Banal

See it if u like Turner's music and want to see reenactments of her iconic videos & concert footage (albeit framed by an anemic, awkward, awful book).

Don't see it if you hope to see Turner's real-life turmoil/tragedy/struggles/resurgence dramatized & explored beyond a cursory scan of her Wikipedia page.

Also If ever there was a celebrity subject worthy of a large-scale musical,... Read more Read less

Unseemly, Intense, Great staging, Great singing, Great acting

See it if Feel-good-bummer survivor/warrior bio-musicale propelled by an uber-archvillain as bonus to the legacy. Frightfully fierce.

Don't see it if Parts jukebox and concert. To not showcase such dynamic performers (via impersonation) would be disservice to both. Unavoidably unseemly...

Also ...Like waiting for the kid to get it, for it to ignite "Mum Dearest."

Formulaic, Great staging, Great band, Great singing, Electric

See it if an unforgettable, visceral, electric performance by Adrienne Warren elevates this somewhat formulaic jukebox musical to the heights.

Predictable and safe jukebox musical, Engaging and energetic, Incredible singing, Empowering, A sad (and sadly-true) story of resilience

See it if you are a fan of Tina Turner’s music; like jukebox musicals; or looking for a splashy, longish musical to round out a night in the city.

Don't see it if expecting suspense, shock, or strong story-telling; not a fan of Tina and/or Ike Turner’s music; triggered by domestic abuse and misogyny.

Also The Tina Turner Musical is a splashy and sparkly show. I enjoyed the o... Read more Read less

Great singing

See it if Super high energy, excellent singing and dancing with moving renditions of her songs. General jukebox biopic of her life.

Don't see it if Domestic abuse and racism occur quickly and not dwelled/reflected upon much. Doesn't go that deep but very entertaining show.

Usual bio jukebox, Loud, Dizzying, Entertaining

See it if you can see Adrienne Warren's curtain call concert. She is a full entertainer.
