Riveting, Delightful, Great staging, Great singing, Entertaining

See it if you would enjoy Tina's biography over 8 decades in a well-written show that weaves story perfectly with songs. Great energy by this cast.

Don't see it if you expect every bit of Tina's music - here you get a taste of her youth, time with Ike and her solo career.

Fluffy, Great singing, Entertaining

See it if Exactly what you think it would be. Weak story, amazing singing. Adrienne Warren was so unbelievable - triple threat for sure!

Don't see it if You don't like jukebox musicals. This fits the formula to a tee. That said, see it for Adrienne.

Intense, Explores significant subjects, Energetic, Clever staging, Great singing

See it if You love Tina & her music, are curious about her background or admire gold lame.

Don't see it if repulsed by loudness, light aimed at your eyes, violence or rude audiences singing along, refusing masks & behaving as if at a rock concert

Great lead performance, Entertaining, Shallow, By-the-numbers, Banal

See it if u like Turner's music and want to see reenactments of her iconic videos & concert footage (albeit framed by an anemic, awkward, awful book).

Don't see it if you hope to see Turner's real-life turmoil/tragedy/struggles/resurgence dramatized & explored beyond a cursory scan of her Wikipedia page. Read more

One of the most electrifying performances in a musical in this century

See it if Adrienne Warren as Tina in this bio is amazing force of nature; first class production; concert at end brings audience 2 its feet

Don't see it if narrative loses its steam in 2nd act which is a hodgepodge of mostly torpid, uncompelling scenes; no satisfying denouement Read more

"The ‘Tina’ Musical Is One Inch Deep, Mountain High: Tina Turner gets the bio-jukebox treatment, with all its lows (emaciated storytelling) and one of its peaks (a star-making performance from Adrienne Warren)."

3/5 Stars "These failings might not register as much in a lighthearted show, but they don't serve the seriousness of Turner's journey...Yet the production has two significant assets...Foremost, there is Warren, who delivers a performance of superhuman stamina and skill."
