About the Show

A new play about the racial tensions in 1967 New Jersey.

With tensions reaching a historic high between residents of Newark and law enforcement, racial and civil unrest starts to spill over into Plainfield, New Jersey in the “long hot summer of 1967”. Clif and Peach have recently moved their family to Plainfield in hopes of a better future, but when the riots start, the family considers returning down South.
