Dominique Morisseau's new play about two generations of sisters.

Two pairs of sisters from different eras navigate class, race, love and family on Mud Row, in the East End of West Chester, Pennsylvania.

Elsie hopes to advance in the world by marrying into “the talented tenth,” while her sister Frances commits to the fight for Civil Rights.

Years later, estranged sisters Regine and Toshi must come to terms with their shared heritage and with each other, when Regine inherits grandmother Elsie's home.
