Great singing, Great staging, Funny, Delightful, Ambitious

See it if Hansol Jung and Dustin Wills make dynamic, fearless shows together! Their cast is excellent - funny, spot-on, with great music besides.

Don't see it if You wouldn’t like to see Shakespeare done in the bawdy, vulgar, brash way it was probably done while he was still alive.

Modern spin, Adult language and situations, Entertaining, Clever, Ambitious

See it if you are willing to put a fresh, modern spin on a Shakespeare play, including adding music, language, and sexual situations.

Don't see it if you are a traditionalist who doesn't want to see any changes to Shakespeare's works, and/or you are under the age of 18. Read more

Entertaining, Clever

See it if You want to support smaller theater. Troupe with great talented actors and energy who are very experienced with Shakespeare plays.

Don't see it if You can't handle Shakespeare. I'm not a fan of shakespeare but I really enjoyed this production.

Confusing, Ambitious, Quirky, Dizzying, Clever

See it if an all-Asian, gender-bending, updated version of a much-loved classic with modern elements thrown in sounds appealing

Don't see it if avant-garde, out-of-the-norm staging, and a three-hour run sound like too much for you to handle all together

Edgy, Quirky, Great acting, Dizzying, Confusing

See it if you enjoy a quirky, sometimes confusing retelling of a classic play. The young Asian actors are talented and try hard in a difficult play.

Don't see it if you can't handle Romeo and Juliet being turned into an almost farcical and sometimes slapstick presentation. Read more

"translation" is misguided, Fun staging, Great acting

See it if you believe that Shakespeare can be "improved"

Don't see it if you understand that the Oregon Shakespeare Festival's "Play on Shakespeare" project has misguided mission. Read more

Poor staging/sound design, Intense, Dizzying, Confusing, Ambitious

See it if You want to see a farce-like modern interpretation of the classic play. It highlights the fact that the characters are TEENAGERS [bravo!]

Don't see it if You want to hear everything [you can't]; want to understand everything happening; don't like a completely changed classic; can't sit thru 3h
