Highlight of 2022

See it if Kate Baldwin and Aaron Lazar shine as Francesca and Robert. One of the top five scores in the past ten years. Simply gorgeous!

Don't see it if You don’t have a romantic bone in your body.

Romantic, Great writing, Great singing, Absorbing

See it if You like well sung finely crafted songs. The score and performances are the strengths of the show. The leads are tremendous.

Don't see it if You need great production values. The production is more of a well stage concert.

Indulgent, Great writing, Dated, Delightful, Clever

See it if I had to log my experience with this one because it no element hit for me as it should've, as I've been a fan of the story for quite a while

Don't see it if You don't care for slightly over indulgent romance that hangs on all the wrong parts in this for a little too long.

"From beginning to end, Baldwin beautifully sings Jason Robert Brown's score throughout the show...Lazar's intense and passionate portrayal of Robert made audiences root for him, even though his character was put into an awkward position...Baldwin and Lazar's scenes both together and apart were equally as incredible, showing how talented they truly are... Hunter Foster directs a production with excellent actors, beautiful music, and a story that will resonate with audiences for years to come. Anyone who has the opportunity to see this musical in person will love every minute of it."

"Both sing beautifully, create fully rounded characters and project the urgent, larger-than-life emotions that Brown’s songs call for...This is a polished production, with strong performances throughout the cast...Hunter Foster, who played Bud in the 2014 Broadway production, directs. His deep familiarity with the material probably helped him draw out emotionally resonant performances from the cast members...The story’s melodrama is balanced by frequent reminders of the frustrating real-life challenges that Francesca and Robert face."
