Royal Family Productions presents a new adaptation of L.M. Montgomery's celebrated children’s novel. More…
‘Anne of Green Gables: Part I’ shares the journey of Anne Shirley, an imaginative, red-headed, hot-tempered 11-year-old orphan who is accidentally sent to live with quiet middle-aged siblings Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert on Prince Edward Island. A movement-fueled, family-friendly theatrical experience starring Rocky Vega. Part I of a planned four-part series. Best for ages 10 and up.
See it if You enjoy non-traditional staging - all parts are played by one actor, with four dancers accompanying. Unusual, enjoyable and well-acted.
Don't see it if You are expecting a traditional show and don't like plays with music, dance and video elements.
See it if you liked the book Anne of Green Gables or any of Lucy Maud Montgomery's works, intimate shows, & stories about girlhood/growing up
Don't see it if you don't like small shows. The theater is up 3 flights of stairs, also.
See it if You love Anne of Green Gables and want to see a new take. Apparently this is 4 parts. It is a 1 woman show with 4 dancers
Don't see it if You need a full cast and don't enjoy one woman shows. Wasn't into it personally.
See it if You enjoy intimate settings and old world charm.
Don't see it if You can't climb three levels of stairs.
Also Anna was incredible.
See it if You are a Anne fan and want to see the story told in a new, interesting way. You enjoy shows where many characters are played by one person.
Don't see it if You are expecting a traditional, children's theater-type retelling. You are bringing very young children or can't climb stairs.
See it if you enjoy a new look at a well-known story, and you don't mind one woman playing all of the speaking parts.
Don't see it if you are looking for a traditional version of Anne. But even with a non-traditional adaptation, LM Montgomery's Anne is as charming as always
See it if You like Anne of Green Gables and are open to one actor playing multiple parts. The show uses dance to tell the story as well.
Don't see it if You only like A traditional big show with multiple actors and flashy song and dance numbers. Also, if you don't care about AOGG.
See it if you want to see an experimental production that captures the spirit of the original work, or if you enjoy a performer playing multiple roles
Don't see it if you'd rather watch something more fully-formed (it is a work in progress)
See it if you like sweet creative shows that are uplifting and riveting. I loved it.
Don't see it if you are expecting an extravaganza, this is a one actor with 4 dancers production that is extremely well choreographed.
See it if you are a fan of the anne of green gables storyline, you don't mind small productions
Don't see it if you would not enjoy a one person show, if you expect a big staging or do not like projections
See it if you're a fan of the novel or want to see an imaginative, well-done theatrical adaptation. Also see it if you love dance.
Don't see it if you're a fan of action more than words or prefer big flashy spectacles of shows.
See it if you want to be amazed by how one actor can play several role at a time. Dancers add great taste as a way to vidualize human emotion .
Don't see it if you are looking for live music.
See it if to see a truly terrific actress masterfully play all roles with a storyline bolstered by smart choreography and sublimely expressive dancers
Don't see it if you are looking for a BIG production... but this small theatre's direction, acting, dance, lighting, music, AV -- all get my BRAVO!
See it if You enjoy innovative staging and the incorporation of movement and dance into a theatre piece.
Don't see it if you need a traditional linear narritive and don't like to use your imagination.
See it if you like eclectic works, drama. There is one actress who plays all the roles. She is excellent. The 4 dancers are also amazing.
Don't see it if you are looking for a big show musical, or fancy production.
Also My 9 year old enjoyed it too!! Small theatre so all seats are good.
See it if You’re a fan of the novel series, if you have children, if you DONT have children-I grew up with four sisters desperate to be Anne with an E
Don't see it if I think it speaks to most audiences, but I suppose if period pieces mke you wary or elements of growing pains , but there’s so much more
See it if I really want to see Anne Of Green Gables...I would love to see Anne Of Green Gables as a Musical.. I love Musical..
Don't see it if If you don't like Anne of Green Gables...it's not the show for you...
