Front-row to an intimate addiction support group as tensions rise and recovery is tested.
Anonymous centers on a weekly meeting of an addiction support group. When the group’s leader, Charlie, fails to show, a nervous member, Richard, steps up to take control. The group faces an internal challenge that tests their commitment to sobriety, trust, and community, revealing vulnerabilities, fears, and the strength needed to navigate recovery. The story unfolds entirely within the circle of the group, heightening intimacy and immediacy.
The play is written by Nick Thomas, a Melbourne-based playwright, actor, and director known for works including The Shakespeare Riots (Bay Street Theatre) and numerous productions with Spit&Vigor. Sara Fellini serves as director and production designer, with an extensive background in award-winning original theatre such as Hazard a Little Death and The Execution of Mrs. Cotton.
