The battle between Jason and Medea has been told and retold, but never quite like this. 'Another Medea' tells the story of the incarcerated Marcus Sharp. The one time New York actor recounts in gruesome detail how his obsessions with a man named Jason and the myth of Medea lead to horrific, unspeakable events. Writer-director Aaron Mark describes the eighty-minute solo show as "Grand Guignol horror in the style of Spalding Gray."
See it if you are open to a show that is by turns funny, touching, horrifying. You'll see one man's descent into ugly madness...and feel compassion.
Don't see it if you can't bear gruesome detail. There is over-the-top violence described. Both the acting and writing are superb, though.
See it if Mark's first take on his signature style of ultra-vivid thriller storytelling is a genius revisiting on the classic. Hewitt is riveting.
Don't see it if you don't care for one person plays or scary stories.
See it if Brilliantly written by Aaron Mark w/ a masterful performance by Hewitt. An edge of your seat thriller that at times is scaringly relatable.
Don't see it if You are looking for lighter fare.
