Great writing, Ambitious, Clever

See it if You're interested in literary history, even just a little bit.

Don't see it if You really need a traditional plot line & conflict on stage.

Strong acting, Sophisticated, Ambitious, Delightful, Clever

See it if you'd like an intelligent, humorous play. the 1950s/1770s are seamlessly interwoven. Strg acting and direction make the small stage large.

Don't see it if you only like modern settings or political commentary. BOSWELL focuses on literary history, but many themes arise. Cast of 6 play many roles

Intelligent, Ambitious, Great writing, Great acting

See it if A small gem of a show given a wonderful production in a theater that's too small and uncomfortable to truly appreciate its assets.

Don't see it if You don't like wordy plays presented in a very uncomfortable theater.

Quirky, Intelligent, Great acting, Great staging, Entertaining

See it if you like literature, word development & meaning and have an appreciation for journaling. Partially narrated with excellent props and lights.

Don't see it if actors playing multiple roles disturbs you & you like a lot of action with the dialogue. Small stage setting and not very comfortable seats.

Clever, Entertaining, Absorbing

See it if you like quality productions of new scripts: good acting, sets, costumes; interesting, often very smart and entertaining script.

Don't see it if you don't like small theater spaces or talky plays about historical figures.

"The production, as is, provides plenty of unanticipated pleasures, not the least of which is the opportunity to see skilled actors working their stage magic from up close – very close."
