Absorbing, Great acting, Great writing, Intelligent, Relevant

See it if you remember the story of what happened to Theo van Gogh. This is a powerful drama, well acted and is a tribute to free speech at a cost.

Don't see it if you don't care about Theo van Gogh. There is poetic license in the story but the gist is there. Read more

Absorbing, Edgy, Intelligent, Intense, Thought-provoking

See it if you have any interest in the events in the murder of Theo Van Gogh. enlightening depiction of an artist caught in life/death dilemma.

Don't see it if you need glitz. you want action rather than a discussion of action. you are offended by harsh language.

Intense, Slow, Great acting

See it if you still have an interest in a story that has been told from many sides but are either new to it, or more imp, enjoy acting well done

Don't see it if playwright needs to tighten up but it is the first time it is being produced. If you can be flexible, go and enjoy, if not, then maybe wait

“An astounding new play...Menna’s brilliant writing captures the multifaceted nature of Theo Van Gogh’s character...Menna’s dialogue is gorgeous...Menna masterfully crafted a world that is neither black or white, but grey...The direction was nothing short of phenomenal...A morally complex play that resonates not only with artists who struggle to uphold their visions, but also with anyone fighting for the values that they believe in.”
