Absorbing, Smart, Clever, Confusing, Ambitious

See it if A creative and intelligent take on gay relationships and LGBTQ+ identity and culture through time, told in two different stories at once.

Don't see it if You prefer straightforward historical dramas.

Clumsy staging, Entertaining, Cliched

See it if you'd enjoy a heartfelt mashup of eloquent correspondence between Britten & Pears and a cliched after-school-melodrama-like modern-day story

Don't see it if you expect a polished production. Uneven acting but Jake Dillon shines bright. It doesn't cohere or resonate but mildly entertaining.

See it if Gave it a high middle score although I couldn’t decipher Britten dialogue. Not sure what was said or comprehend the message of the play.
