Four girls' sleepovers and The Sims blur adolescence, friendship, and agency.
In suburban Central Ohio, four girls gather every week for a sleepover. They talk, gossip, snack, experiment with drinking, and spend hours playing The Sims, a life-simulation computer game. As they navigate friendship and adolescence, questions emerge about identity, visibility, and how much control they have over the lives they are trying to shape. The play examines the people who know you before you know yourself.
The play is written by Eliya Smith and directed by Chloe Claudel. The production features choreography by Lena Engelstein, scenic design by Forest Entsminger, costume design by Olivia Vaughn Hern, lighting design by Abigail Sage and Finn Bamber, and sound design by Mitchell Polonsky.
