Adapted from the famous correspondence between George Bernard Shaw and acclaimed actress Mrs. Patrick Campbell, Jerome Kilty’s Dear Liar examines the relationship between these two fiery and fascinating personalities. In Kilty’s collection of letters between “Stella and Joey”(their nicknames for each other), there are scenes of both lovemaking and furious confrontation, as they come to verbal blows with one another, all the while making passionate love through their exorbitant exchanges.

David Staller embodies George Bernard Shaw, and the Tony-nominated Melissa Errico, acclaimed for her performance as Eliza Doolittle, takes on the role of Mrs. Patrick Campbell, who was herself Shaw’s original Eliza Doolittle in Pygmalion.
