Too long, Great acting, Great staging

See it if You like small black box theater type shows where they use the space to perfection and get the most out of it

Don't see it if You don’t like plays about unlikely friendships or if you have trouble with actors playing multiple roles Read more

Long uneven moving and thoughtful production

See it if You like bravura performances and R-rated coming of age stories

Don't see it if You are too impatient to let the characters grow on you.

Hard-working actors. successful characterization., Thought-provoking, Relevant, Entertaining

See it if If you’re interested in a frank and realistic portrayal of what it means to be gay. Also, a realistic portrayal of straight men’s reactions.

Don't see it if You’re uncomfortable with homosexuality or some relevant violence

Great staging, Entertaining, Ambitious

See it if you'd enjoy a good, if uneven coming of age story. A diamond-in-the-rough. Worth a watch and support of latino playwright.

Don't see it if you don't like small theater; or would you'd clutch your pearls at its sexual themes. Read more

Entertaining, Too long, Slow, Funny

See it if About teenagers relationships and funny at time.

Don't see it if You think you are going to see a musical. It's long 2 1/2 hours. Not a show for everyone. Alot of people left during intermission.

Way too long, Dizzying, Entertaining, Ambitious, Absorbing

See it if Some good performances and interesting story line. Actors do their best in a very long play.

Don't see it if You are not open to gay themes or cannot sit for 3 hours. Needed to be condensed. Program says 1 hour 40 minutes. Was closer to 3.

Incomplete, Raunchy, Much too long, Mostly well acted, Uneven

See it if interested in a serio-comic coming of age story with diverse characters not often seen on stage. Hard working young cast.

Don't see it if Much too long (over 2 1/2 hrs); overwritten; unlikely friendship; strong sexual content. See below.. Read more

Disappointing, Ambitious

See it if you want to see a new coming of age play. The two main characters are students trying to find their place in the world.

Don't see it if you want to see a tight play. This one goes on way too long and has much too much going on. Read more

“The play is ambitious and generous but also unwieldy — the overlong sum of individual moments that often feel rushed.”
