See it if you enjoy old-time musicals, pared to 10 actors/piano. Costumes nice, staging strg for tiny stage. Some gd songs/some clunkers. Fun fluff.
Don't see it if you want a polished prodn. DRM is high-quality summer stock. You get to see a rare, out-dated, sweet musical by pros (Comden/Green, Styne).
See it if You would like to see a very charming musical with a very talented group of actors. It’s playing in a 99 seat beautiful theater.
Don't see it if You only like big budget musicals. This is done on a small stage and limited scenery.
See it if Classic Bwy material brought to life with great care. Famous Bway performers lovingly paid homage. j2 Spotlight is to be cherished.
Don't see it if Sophisticated music lyrics satire 1960s styles / sensibilities are not to your taste. Don't expect full orchestra and Bwy production values.
See it if you want to get a taste of an old fashioned musical - Comden & Green, Jule Styne, Garson Kanin. Some great musical numbers.
Don't see it if you need big. Much is done with a small stage and some very clever staging. And there is Make Someone Happy.

"The Damon Runyan characters seem inauthentic...While this is the show that introduced the hit 'Make Someone Happy,' most of the Styne/Comden and Green songs sound like second-rate versions of their greater efforts…Moran and Daniel work too hard to deliver on the comedy…Director Donald Brenner keeps the pace fluid though he is unable to solve the problems of the show…A solid revival without appreciably increasing the reputation of this rarely seen show."

"It contains one timeless ballad, two somewhat amusing girl group songs, one successful tongue-in-cheek number, and one comic soliloquy. Otherwise the material is tuneless and verbose. The game company does manage to deliver some entertainment, however...Patrick John Moran deserves better material...The best voice on the stage belongs to Beth DeMichele...Director Donald Brenner’s high spots are two terrific girl group numbers with very cool synchronized movement."

It’s a solid, satirical mid-century, second-drawer title, nimbly spoofing the then-current jukebox payola scandals...This 'Do Re Mi' is bare-bones and imperfect. But if you want a funny, tuneful example of mid-century masters having a great, inconsequential time? Ladies and gentlemen, I think we have a winner."
