"The script offers up snapshots of lives of the characters as opposed to a cohesive plot, a dramaturgical choice that leaves the eventful final scene feeling somewhat contrived...Themes of black femininity are great for a play, but 'Dust to Dust' falls short in its efforts to address such potentially rich subject matter. Yet despite its shortcomings, the show’s cast is deeply talented, and should continue to cooperate on endeavors, hopefully writing another, more coherent play in the future."

"Five good actors are the start to a good show. Five good actors working as a unit takes it to an even better place. Add to this the solid direction of Lilith Bachelder, and you have a diamond in the rough here. That, of course, is another way to say this needs some cutting and polishing…Some scenes end too abruptly, others go on too long. One or two aren’t explored enough…And yet, these are minor matters, and indeed, they are simply matters of taste, not matters of talent or effort."
