Some characters need more delineation, Ambitious, Engaging, Entertaining, Intelligent

See it if You are a fan of Eddie Izzard and of Hamlet. You know the play and want to see an ambitious and mostly clear take on it.

Don't see it if You dislike one-person shows and want all the characters to be clearly delineated. You're a fan of Hamlet and question some of the cuts. Read more

A solo show of hamlet is no easy feat, Confusing, Ambitious

See it if You’re a fan of Eddie, and you know the story of Hamlet. If you don’t know the characters, you will be completely lost.

Don't see it if You’ve never read Hamlet. Not nearly enough character differentiation. Set is very simple. Multiple yawns in the audience.

Intelligent, Masterful, Great acting, Absorbing, Ambitious

See it if You enjoy Eddie Izzard, one-person shows, a refreshing, tour-de-force performance, already familiar with Hamlet

Don't see it if If you don't know Hamlet, it could be hard to follow one person performing all characters. Or you prefer light entertainment

"Eddie Izzard is a wildly witty ad-libber, but a play straitjackets this gift"

Time Out New York

"3/5 Stars. It's an ambitious undertaking, and her passion for the play is evident. But it's not so much a triumph as a tour de forced...As dynamic as Izzard is to watch as she spins around switching characters, she's no Shakespearean shapeshifter, and that dilutes the power of this tragedy."
