From the show:
Not to be confused with, and very much unlike The Emoji Movie, Emojiland is an electric ensemble piece about a diverse community of archetypes who take one another at face value: a smiling face dealing with depression; a princess who doesn’t want a prince; a skull dying for deletion; a nerd face too smart for his own good; a face with sunglasses who can’t see past his own reflection; and a police officer and construction worker who just want to work together. When a software update threatens to destroy life as they know it, Emojiland faces the most fundamental questions a society – and a heart – can face: Who are we? And who matters?
See it if You're just there for a good time, or to see the actors clearly having the time of their lives onstage.
Don't see it if You're looking for something that will really affect you after leaving-- It was a fun time, but I won't remember much of the plot or songs.
See it if you enjoy original musicals with great pop scores. The music is absolutely incredible. Most songs could be on the radio easily.
Don't see it if you can't get past the conceit. The show has so much more to say than I expected going into it.
See it if You want great lighting, catchy pop tunes, and wonderful costumes that are originally their own.
Don't see it if If you're not a fan of predictable cliched plots and can't get over say predictable plots
See it if I am a huge Broadway goer and felt this was so clever! The music was pop radio ready and the performances made you cheer!
Don't see it if You are a crabby person! This show is delightful and laugh out loud!
See it if you like new musicals, exciting technical elements, quirky characters, musical comedy, pop/rock music, high energy, and emojis!
Don't see it if you don't like contemporary musical theatre, don't like pop music, don't like emojis
