“A sweet and highly watchable production, which nonetheless asks big questions…Occasionally, I found myself wishing Tudball's open-hearted performance had a little more time to breathe…Perhaps a couple of the plot twists are a little on the obvious side, and the conclusion was annoyingly neatly wrapped for my taste…In the end though, 'Ferdinand' is a powerful and thoughtful play.”

“Genuinely one of the nicest productions I have seen...Tudball is a masterful storyteller and thoroughly believable dad. Heather Bagnall’s script is simple on the surface, but deals with surprisingly deep themes...It is remarkably effective and thought-provoking writing…The story is told ever so well and it is one of those rare shows that is intelligent enough to work for both parents and their children. Both clever and caring, ‘Ferdinand’ is a delight to watch.”

“It’s a play for everyone from age seven upwards and quite simply everyone should see it!...Tudball proves himself an excellent actor with warmth, intelligence, a wide emotional range and impeccable timing…The script is well-crafted and expertly performed, nuanced with care and sensitivity–it’s a relatable and sincere play without being overly sentimental...Entertaining, thought provoking, moving and uplifting–you will leave the theatre smiling!”

“A wonderful piece of conjuration…An excellently realistic piece, it stirs our deeper emotions with a placid simplicity, and like the perfect Hollywood animated film, is designed to please both the children and the adults who accompany them. A wee gem."
