See it if you're a trekker or you know the Khan story. 1 liners, references to Star Wars, Rent, Cabaret etc. abound. You even laugh at the audience
Don't see it if you hate Star Trek or abhor 1 liners, puns & gags. Music is funny but not what the show is about.

"Khan!!! The Musical, A Parody Trek-tacular," book, music and lyrics written by Brent Black, co-conceived with additional material by Alina Morgan, and directed by John Lampe, boldly goes where others have tread but does it with respect and an understanding of the "Star Trek" canon that is missing in other plays using Star Trek stories. It is based on a story from the original series that was used as the plot for what is considered to be the best "Star Trek" movie, "The Wrath of Khan." It then takes a character from a later "Star Trek" series and uses him as the guide for a musical interpretation of the movie. The result is, for this critic, a well-acted, well-sung two hours and 15 minutes of solid entertainment.

“...’Khan!!! The Musical!’ crazily, but cleverly, goes where no multi-racial, multi-talented, multi-species cast has gone before...Their two and a quarter hour mission: entertain an audience composed of musical theater fans who are also Trekkers. The show is an affectionate and well executed spoof of the 1982 classic movie, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, with shades of the television series, Star Trek: The Next Generation. A game and lively cast portray the iconic characters. Co-conceived by Brent Black and Alina Morgan who contributed additional material, Mr. Black’s faithful book and zesty score contains wicked homages to Chicago and The Rocky Horror Show. It’s a grand entertainment for Trekkies.
