Quirky, Hilarious, Great singing, Funny, Entertaining

See it if You enjoy funny, lighthearted comedies, a bit stripped down since it’s the Encores series

Don't see it if You’re not a fan of classic broadway shows, looking for showy sets and costumes

Also Absolutely fabulous show, even though it’s a bit more stripped down being the Encore version. The lack of costumes and set did not make any difference. All of the actors were amazing in every single way and the live orchestra killed it too. Sutton Foster was made for the role of Princess Winnifred, she really embodied the quirky personality and I loved every minute of her performance. Michael Urie was the perfect Prince Dauntless too. DeMarius R Copes was phenomenal as the Jester. All around, this show made me laugh and put a smile on my face. So glad I got to see it during its short run! Seen 2/3/24

Great acting, Entertaining, Quirky, Hilarious, Clever

See it if What a cast! Sutton gives her all, and it's hysterical to watch. Same with the supporting cast. J. Harrison Ghee is an absolute delight.

Don't see it if You're all about being serious and don't like laughing at silly gags and physical comedy.

Wonderful, Family friendly, Hysterical, Joyful, Thoroughly entertaining

See it if you want to enjoy musical theater at its best with a phenomenally talented cast.

Don't see it if you don't enjoy classic American musicals.

Also What a cast! Uplifting messages, laughter, physical humor, magic - this show has it all! Sutton Foster makes the role of Winifred her own. She can do everything - and do it well. The entire cast works so beautifully together. Lovely score. Powerful message for empowering females. It's a shame this is such a short run at Encores because this show should be back on Broadway. So exciting to see J. Harrison Ghee, Michael Urie, Cheyenne Jackson, Harriet Harris, and Nikki Renee Daniels - as well as the rest of the cast - together in this entertaining show. Mary-Mitchell Campbell, the Music Director, is the icing on the cake!

See it if you are a Sutton Foster fan. She's spectacular.

Don't see it if you like "serious" theater. This is a lot of fun and very silly.

Of course, in true American musical theater form the elegant Princess has been transformed into the bedraggled and uncouth Winnifred (Foster, in her best goofy guise, proving her talent knows no boundaries). Winnie answers the call to audition to be the bride of the equally goofy Prince Dauntless (Michael Urie, funny, but hampered by his material’s lack of sophistication while taking a busman’s holiday after recently departing from "Spamalot"). The marvelously imperious Harriet Harris plays Dauntless’ mother, Queen Aggravain married to the mute, but highly communicative King Sextimus the Silent (David Patrick Kelly, adorable).
