Silverback Mountain is a darkly humorous adventure exploring love, identity, and resilience amid cultural clash and political danger. Mickey, a high-strung New York artist, and his exuberant husband Andy travel to Uganda on a dream “bucket list” journey to see mountain gorillas, hoping for romance and escape. But their trip quickly takes a dangerous turn in a country where homosexuality is criminalized, forcing the couple to confront fear, prejudice, and unexpected challenges. As paradise becomes perilous, they must rely on courage, humor, and their bond with each other to survive an experience that tests both their relationship and their sense of freedom.
