See it if you have kids into theater and/or writing. Interesting & inspiring for them to experience a show written by other kids whom they might meet!
Don't see it if you ain't got no kids. This is a family day @ the theater. Afterwards, it was amazing to watch the interaction between the kids & writer(s).
See it if if you and your family likes sketch comedy. This is a terrific concept where they celebrate literacy in a fun way
Don't see it if if you don't like comedy, if you're expecting a single plot line, or if you're expecting a big Broadway production, this is not for you
"About ten minutes in to the 'Story Pirates' hour-long show, I felt a wave of pure silliness wash over me. This troop of professional actors and educators who create original musicals based on real stories written by kids are so funny, I would challenge anyone not to leave the theater feeling happy...My only regret is that I didn't bring my three year old son. I think he would have loved it."
"'Story Pirates' featured a group of musical sketch comedy artists who brought a story to life based on the words and ideas provided by kids in the audience. It was creative, clever and really funny...When the show was over, the cast gathered in the lobby to meet with kids, which was fantastic, which was a nice opportunity for the kids to continue to express their thoughts on the story."
