A free-roaming virtual reality experience set within the Black Mirror universe involving AI and a tech unveiling.
The Black Mirror Experience places groups of up to six participants inside an original story set within the Black Mirror universe, independent of prior knowledge of the television series. Visitors arrive as guests at the exclusive launch of Phaethon's showroom, where the tech company is unveiling LifeAgent—a robot designed to anticipate desires, streamline daily life, and optimize personal development. The 60-minute experience unfolds across physical and digital space, with participants as active protagonists rather than observers.
The experience is developed from the dark satirical television anthology created by Charlie Brooker, which has explored the unintended consequences of technology across multiple award-winning series. Blending immersive theatre with free-roaming virtual reality, the format uses its standalone narrative to examine themes of artificial intelligence, automation, and the relationship between technology and identity.
