Resonant, Great writing, Great staging, Great singing, Absorbing

See it if You want to see a unique, realistic, nuanced, immersive queer love story set to great rock music featuring two amazing female leads.

Don't see it if You're looking for a more traditional musical. You don't like the idea of being immersed in a rock concert setting.

Great music, Bland, Generic, Great singing, Great staging

See it if You’re the type who loves seeing indie rock bands play dive bars. The staging & music smartly give it that kind of fun atmosphere.

Don't see it if You dislike shows with nothing new to say. This is a generic, overly long, depressingly sad-sack, small-town gay romance.

Book needs work, Great performers, Enjoyable, Loud, Immersive staging

See it if like idea of being part of action in a bar setting, like representation of gay love story, like rock music scene, like loud

Don't see it if dislike loud, predictable plotting, easy resolutions, lesbian attraction, alcoholic siblings, parents skipping out, people dreaming big

Slow, Cliched, Disappointing, Great singing

See it if You want to hear some excellent vocalists and some interesting new songs. Extremely talented cast (unfortunately, they get wasted here)

Don't see it if You want an interesting plot, good staging, or a really fulfilling evening. it tries to "say a lot", when really it just amounts to not much

Edgy, Great singing, Absorbing, Cliched

See it if you wanted to see a semi-immersive show with a killer cast but slightly cliched story

Don't see it if you don't like cliched stories
