Great live music, Relevant, Worthy, Strong, multi-talented ensemble, Great singing

See it if you can forgive a rambling plot w/many detours to learn about a PR writer/activist's cultural identity & moral courage; enjoy bio-musicals

Don't see it if a strong, multi-talented cast is not enough to make up for some confusing, unresolved or even downright silly subplots. Read more

Great singing, Great acting, Thought-provoking, Intelligent, Entertaining

See it if you like to learn while being entertained-here a talented group of actors and band bring heart to a little musical with nice choreography.

Don't see it if you are bothered by plays that go back and forth in time. While projections are great, a couple times they compete with the stage action.

Thought-provoking, Dizzying, Great staging, Great acting, Delightful

Don't see it if Uprefer a linear story;the play goes back&forth from PR2Bklyn. It also alternates btw Eng&Sp,but translation is always provided on a screen. Read more

Confusing, Great staging, Relevant, Thought-provoking, Ambitious

See it if Rolon's kaleidoscopic staging impresses in a bilingual, bio-musical about the Puerto Rican author/activist Jesus Colon w/Garcia's lead A+

Don't see it if Amid the limber staging, strong ensemble & projections, the non-linear plot line can get overwhelmed; sometimes leaving us unsure time wise

Unfocused, Disjointed, Good singing, Uneven, Energetic

See it if you enjoy shows inspired by real people/events; you're interested in seeing a unique, ensemble show with lively music in an intimate setting

Don't see it if you want a tight, focused narrative; you're easily bothered by some clunky lyrics and direction or uneven performances

Lively, Nice staging, Relevant, Important, Ambitious

See it if you're interested in Jesus Colon's story, Puerto Rican diaspora, political organizing & government persecution for "un-American" activities

Don't see it if you aren't interested in new musicals, political history, or history of activism, labor movement or racial equality fight; hate supertitles Read more
