'The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet', continues Shakespeare in the Square's tradition of wildly entertaining productions that elevate our understanding of the bard's work.

'The Tragedy of Rome and Juliet' marks Shakespeare in the Square's Off-Broadway debut. Our company of five actors is attacking the play head-on, without the crutch of 'concept' or cutting. We're committed to performing the uncut Folio text at a speed that comes as close to the "two hours' traffic of our stage" as possible.
