From the show:

This is Molly as she really was: vibrant, progressive, and ready to fight for the underdog as a champion of women’s rights, labor rights, and immigration reform. Refreshing, Great writing, Great singing, Great staging, Great acting

See it if you love great musicals and truly enjoy superb acting, singing and a wonderfully fun and creative staging. I love it all and left so happy.

Don't see it if you don't like long musicals and not interested in real life stories of fascinating, fun and vital people who changed the world.

Great acting, Great singing, Quirky, Entertaining, Absorbing

See it if you like 'old timey' musicals about a real life historical figure. Beth Malone has remarkable energy and the whole cast really delights!

Don't see it if you are expecting a modern take on re-telling of Brown's story. The production is a bit long and some facts seemed mashed up or glossed over

Relevant, Great singing, Great acting, Entertaining, Delightful

See it if Very well done rewrite of the original. Great lead acting and singing. Lots of dancing for such a small stage space. Worth seeing twice.

Don't see it if You do not like the old classic musicals brought back to life in a remarkable, relevant, fun and enthusiastic fashion.

Great acting, great singing, funny, moving, uplifting

See it if You want to see a Tony-winning actor in a role unlike her past roles, like/know the story, and enjoy upbeat musicals.

Don't see it if You like short musicals or a purist. It does go on a bit. Also, if you're a Trumper and anti-immigrant.

Slow, Quirky, Great singing, Enchanting, Delightful

See it if you like a big ol' Broadway show tune. A breezy, reinvention of a piece that's still of its time but extremely charming.

Don't see it if you need a bit more zing. There's much to charm here but stretches fall flat and it never really finds much bite.

Also There is much to admire here but really I was slightly left scratching... Read more Read less

Relevant, Romantic, Intelligent, Great singing, Entertaining

See it if You like shows about feisty ladies, are open to an updated Molly, enjoy Meredith Willson's music, would like a Lower East Side outing.

Don't see it if Grand Street is too far away for you, you don't enjoy updated "revisals," pro-feminist stories aren't for you, you want a large production.

Also From the first scene, I knew this wouldn't be the "Molly Brown" of my ... Read more Read less

See it if You want to see great performances/singing especially by Beth Malone. Neat sets on a tight budget. A true story told in dance and song.

Don't see it if True stories aren’t your thing. If you want to see a fun show off the beaten path. Colorblind casting.

See it if you are interested in seeing older musicals fully staged. The plot has a nice arc to leave people feeling good.

Don't see it if you want something very substantial.

See it if You like old-time historical musicals, with a bent towards a strong female protagonist, with great choreography and a generally fun show.

3/5 Stars "A feminist-forward revisal...Malone...is enchanting...The book scenes often feel sluggish. You wait impatiently for Malone and the talented company to start singing and dancing again. When they do, this new 'Molly Brown' doesn’t just sail, it soars."
