Clever, Funny, Great singing, Relevant, Thought-provoking

See it if You want to see a new, different show with great music and performances. You want to explore LGBT themes and history with a twist.

Don't see it if You can't tolerate plot holes and pacing inconsistencies. You are uncomfortable with (relatively minimal) actor-audience interaction.

Great staging, Relevant, Resonant, Thought-provoking, Edgy

See it if You will appreciate an awesome set, true stories about the LGBT experience, performed with well written songs, by characters with heart.

Don't see it if LGBT themed shows aren't of interest & 1 hr 40 minutes without an intermission isn't your cup of tea, for today, because it is closing 5/21.

Absorbing, Ambitious, Entertaining

See it if you like gay history with a musical flair. A talented cast brings an overlooked tragedy to light with humor and pathos. Original & winning.

Don't see it if you believe in conversion therapy.

Time-traveling gay n'awlins "cheers" musical

See it if you want a look at pre-AIDS N'awlins with a ragtag gay CHEERS-mileau group of regulars. You appreciate good singing voices.

Don't see it if you think a nearly 2 hour musical with no intermission will drag (pun intended). You don't like gay-themed theater. Read more

Entertaining, Relevant, Ambitious

See it if you are looking for a taste of gay history. It is not a maudlin or sentimental as one might expect.

Don't see it if cliches bother you. All of the gay cliches are represented here. But it is expertly staged and most of the talent is top notch

Entertaining, Cliched, Great staging

See it if A well performed, immersive musical set in a gay bar in New Orleans in 1973. Based on a true incident.

Don't see it if you have no interest in LBGT history. The show is somewhat formulaic, though always enjoyable thanks to winning performances.
