Blessed with the can-do American spirit, the workers embark on a madcap odyssey of personal (employer-mandated) expansion. But when "work is your life" and systems breakdown, all that remains is you, some nachos, and the truth.
See it if you like a wild ride. There's lots to enjoy here (characters, humor, acting, staging), but the great set-up is dropped and TCS falls apart.
Don't see it if you want a full story arc. 1st 2 parts are masterful, the last disappointing. Still, laughs thru-out. W cutting/shaping, TCS could be great.
See it if A great cast of downtown icons (including David Greenspan) work very, very hard to pull drama off Aided by great set & staging but not to be
Don't see it if Harnetiaux's talent is definitely on display but only sporadically It's dense w/o being illuminating; has a feel of 'whimsy on steroids'
See it if you want to see a challenging play that is fully plugged into the zeitgeist, performed by a stellar downtown cast & beautifully designed.
Don't see it if you have no tolerance for experiment that tests the limit of how far afield an original premise can extend before the whole thing snaps.
See it if You are a fan of the Clubbed Thumb tradition of wild and crazy, as you should be. Downtown stars, lots of whimsey, this has promise.
Don't see it if The widening gyre, the center cannot hold, mere anarchy is loosed upon the stage. If that bothers you.
See it if ... You prefer poetry over reason, character over plot, whimsy over solid ground. ... Good direction and design are important to you.
Don't see it if If you hate theatre. This might make you hate it more.
