Confusing, Intense, Decent acting

See it if You are interested in the life of the Russian poet and essayist, Joseph Brodsky, as it's portrayed in this 2 act play.

Don't see it if you are looking for an uplifting experience and fun. If you want something that flows and is easy to understand.

Slow, Insipid, Indulgent, Disappointing, Cliched

See it if you want to support your local theater and the off-off broadway shows.

Don't see it if you wish not to spend the evening catching glimpses of insightfulness scattered within 2 hours of meta, uneventful acting.

Ambitious, Confusing, Intense, Dithering, Disappointing

See it if Russian angst makes you happy. Philosophy verses action? Poetry verses drama? Life in the USA verses home to family in Russia?

Don't see it if loud men carrying chainsaws make you unhappy. There is a lot going on but very little of it is cohesive enough to be called a plot.

Well-acted, Confusing, Interesting, Angst-ridden

See it if you're into Russian-style existential dilemmas; like Chekov, tolerate non-linear story-telling; would enjoy decent acting in a so-so play

Don't see it if you want easily understandable, entertaining story telling; don't like small, neighborhood theater productions
