About the Show

A hybrid puppet-performed adaptation of Vaclav Havel's play translated and directed by Vit Horejs.

This dark comedy abput spying in a brewery, is performed with projected closeups of puppets from security cameras as well as with live actors and traditional marionettes. The play explores the period where Vaclav Havel was made to work in a brewery as penance for writing critically of the Czechoslovak communist government.

The first of Havel's semi-autobiographical one-act plays. Recommended for audiences ages 12 and up.
