About the Show

In Central Park, friends reunite for a game, but one has a dreaded secret.

Performed in Central Park's East Meadow, Back and Forth is the story of two long-time buddies, Marty and Drew, who come together for their first in-person game of catch since the pandemic. While Marty is eager to rekindle the friendship they had when they first arrived in New York, Drew has a secret he's not looking forward to sharing.

See it if you want to see a play, enjoy the park on a pleasant afternoon, & be free to chillax on a mat/grass or your own folding chair- all at once!

Don't see it if not good weather as this is outdoors, and do not sit near loud non-audience who are clueless of the play going on- as it's distracting.

See it if you'd like eavesdropping (via radio) on 2 friends playing catch, as they catch up on ea other's lives. What seems banal becomes significant.

Don't see it if you want heavy drama/comedy. Realistic chat w/slow reveals. Old story (arrested devt), but well-done. Well staged/acted. C. use more meat.

See it if into radio-eavesdropping on 2 "typical" white guys reconnecting in Central Park. An interesting idea, with natural dialog and acting.

Don't see it if well... a bit indulgent, and the drama level is mild. The experience relies on your enjoyment of the outdoors that day.
