Also Lauren was fantastic. This was not just about awards shows, but Lauren shared some anecdotes about her work as a stage manager at political conventions and dedications of cultural institutions with visiting dignitaries and a US president as well. It. takes a special person who can keep their head when unforeseen circumstances happen, and Lauren has been there in the fray. I just wish it had been longer than 1 hour. We all could have listened to her stories all night.

I also wanted to mention how much fun it was to attend this at Ripley-Grier Studios. This is one of two major rehearsal studios in NYC and is used for rehearsals and auditions for Broadway shows and more. You might ride the elevator with someone auditioning for Pretty Woman, or see a famous star passing you on the way to the ladies room.
