Entertaining, Absorbing, Great staging, Refreshing

See it if You love dance music and a fun pop score. Immersive experience so you can dance with the actors (or sit back & relax). Very catchy tunes.

Don't see it if You'd prefer a traditional version without music. If you don't want to see actors vogue dancing, breakdancing, club dancing & having fun.

Ambitious, Entertaining, High energy, Fun, Work-in-progress

See it if You want a high energy EDM/ hip-hop dance party with a Cleopatra backdrop. Uneven but still a super fun immersive show with catchy songs.

Don't see it if You don’t like immersive theatre or electronica/club music.

Don't see it if If you are not a fan of immersive theatre. You are part of the experience! So, you need to be open to that type of event.

Ambitious, Entertaining, Work in progress, Uneven

See it if Fun electronic show, fantastic dancing, and the actress playing Cleopatra is a force! Uneven acoustics. Hope it comes back!

Don't see it if The interactive part is more like being herded into pens, too much touching by the dancers. Hard to hear lyrics.

Don't see it if Only like traditional structure of a musical targeted to a young crowd. Don't enjoy party / club atmosphere with a la little drag thrown in. Read more

Entertaining, Great staging, Quirky, Slow, Refreshing

See it if You like EDM and historical bio shows. It's like the $18 version of Here Lies Love.

Don't see it if You really want to track the story. Some stretches feel like a fun, themed pop concert. The piece is hit and miss but I mostly enjoyed it

Ambitious, Refreshing, Edgy, Entertaining, Great singing

See it if you want to check out an exciting new piece of theatre with a dynamite cast and exciting new score. Come ready to let loose and have fun.

Don't see it if you're expecting a traditional playgoing narrative/experience, or you aren't comfortable standing at length. (Or if you're easily offended.)

Epic, Raunchy, Entertaining, Refreshing, Edgy

See it if You want something new and exciting. The songs are catchy and will stay in your head for a while.

Don't see it if You want a classical musical experience or are uncomfortable with raunch

Times Square Chronicles

"Get ready for sweaty gyrations, the 70’s disco craze and an all out party...This exhilarating immersive musical traces history’s most mysterious ruler and mixes historical drama with an enveloping spectacle that will leave Cleopatra’s guests guessing and grooving all night long...The book is entertaining enough if not a little generic but it is a lark...Leon and Horenstein have staged the show as if it were a bacchanal and it feels like the heyday of Studio 54."
