Touching, Great music, Cultural, Sad, Resonant

See it if Egyptian family is torn apart by emigration. Artistic daughter fills gaps in her identity w/imagination. Lovely sad ballads.

Don't see it if You want more action. Dwells on the themes of harsh conditions in Egypt & difficulty adapting to America. Introspective search for meaning.

“A masterpiece that is delightful, heartbreaking and poignant...The show in its current form is restructured to involve 4 more actors and does a marvelous job of telling the story...Aziz has done an incredible job with the book and the music. It is refreshing to hear a young voice full of passion and zest...Mukherjee’s direction is to the point and keeps the actors moving keeping the energy up at all times...I left the performance feeling moved, inspired and in awe of the story and the show.”
