Well acted, Disappointing, Absorbing, Slow, Ambitious

See it if Repertorio's production of Isabel Allende's sweeping novel features an interesting DIY set & a solid ensemble w/an excellent Zulema Clares

Don't see it if Svich's adapt feels overwhelmed by the epic scope of the novel & gets sporadic as it proceeds Velasco (as Eva) works hard to stabilize it

Fun use of animation, Inventive staging, Great acting, Enchanting, Entertaining

See it if You would enjoy a fable-like story about a girl who rises from poverty using her story-telling skills, forming relationships as she evolves.

Don't see it if You don’t understand Spanish & don’t want to use electronic translation device. Use of device was awkward, diverting attention from stage. Read more
