Opera, play, Passover seder meld ancient Jewish tale with modern performance.
Offers an immersive experience, merging opera, play, and Passover seder, drawing from the oldest known Jewish play by Ezekiel the Tragedian. Set around a traditional seder table, the audience participates in a modern 15-part seder while witnessing an opera composer, Zeke, introducing his non-practicing Muslim girlfriend Aliyah. Amidst this, opera performers sing a reimagined Greek interpretation of the Book of Exodus, creating a unique blend of ancient storytelling and contemporary performance.
