About the show

Julia de Burgos Performance & Arts Center presents a new drama about a newly minted therapist and her first client, a blue-collar political activist. More…

During their sessions, fireworks erupt between the two along racial, class, religious, and political lines. Meanwhile the therapist faces personal challenges including her demanding supervisor and her insensitive Wall Street boyfriend.

See it if You want to see an intense play about serious issues sprinkled with humor. You want to laugh. You want to see some great masterful acting

Don't see it if You want light and fluffy. You don't want to laugh. You need elaborate staging. You don't want to see a play about real issues.

See it if you enjoy intense drama dealing with current racial topics, or you don't mind a workshop version of a good play using a bare-bones set

Don't see it if you don't want to see racial and political drama dealing with suicide and betrayal, or don't enjoy workshop low-budget versions of plays

See it if You enjoy unpolished workshop productions. It was a good, timely show, but needs a little work

Don't see it if You are uncomfortable with shows that take a hard look at racial issues.

See it if You love comedy! This play was magnificent. This is a play that many people can relate to. The writing was excellent! 9.5 out of 10.

Don't see it if You don't like drama or comedy.
