Thought-provoking, Intense, Great writing, Funny, Absorbing

See it if I really wanted to like Ibsen's masterpiece, but the lead actress is too likable to play mischievous Hedda. Uneven cast, tho costumes&sets r*

Uneven, Excruciating, No energy, Disappointing, Slow

See it if You are a huge Ibsen fan and have to see every production of hos plays.

Don't see it if You have little patience and less enjoyment of shows that drag. Delivery of lines was so slow “you could have driven a truck between them !

Enchanting, Clever, Absorbing

See it if Classic with a twist. The whole cast is excellent and Natalie Menna portrays a Hedda Gabler that is nuanced. Very captivating.

Don't see it if You aren't an Ibsen fan.

Intelligent, Profound, Relevant, Quirky, Thought-provoking

See it if a dynamic leading lady - Natalie Menna - and stouthearted counterpart - Brad Fryman - doing justice to Ibsen's greatest play can grip you

Don't see it if you can't stand plays updated however carefully

Great acting, Profound, Relevant, Resonant, Riveting

See it if the imposing Brad Fryman (Oberon Rep) and beautiful Natalie Menna (Strindberg Rep) can sell you on 1981 life and death love hate

Don't see it if love and hate are too bourgeois for you

"...overall, we experienced a portentous sense of misfortune. As time passed, no satisfying or glorious dénouement seemed possible, and the closing scene evoked a horripilation."
