See it if you love musicals, esp. those involving the Latino culture; you like stories about following your dreams while maintaining relationships.
Don't see it if you dislike Latino culture/music or hip-hop, you need elaborate stages or costumes in your musicals, you have bad hearing.
See it if You want to take a look at Lin-Manuel Miranda's early work. Songs are Hamilton-styled. The acting and singing are great!
Don't see it if You don't like a great work carried out in a very cheap production. I repeat, very cheap, which reduces the quality of acting and singing.

See it if you want to pretend you're seeing the strong voices, professional staging & lighting & good choreography that do this amazing show justice.
Don't see it if bad singing, dim lighting w/ some numbers performed almost in the dark, chaotic dancing and blocking and a hot theater bother you.
See it if You like the stories from In The Heights, this show really captures the spirit of the original in a fresh way.
Don't see it if You're looking for Hamilton. Lin's pre-Hamilton work is very different...still brilliant, but different.

Don't see it if You expect a polished, Broadway-level performance rather than a charming, DIY vibe. You don't like rap mixed with your musical theater.
See it if You would enjoy ethnic immigrant NYC characters and themes, and a mix of salsa and hip-hop.
Don't see it if The venue is a high school gym with no A/C. The sound system had feedback problems. I understood about half of the lyrics.
See it if you're a fan of L-MM's pre-Hamilton work or if you have never seen this show. This is a cleverly-staged, energetically performed production.
Don't see it if you're not willing to support talented performers in an uptown venue; or if you just don't like this musical. (I don't but I still enjoyed.)
See it if You are a Lin-Manuel fan, and love the original. This cast does a terrific job, and the use of the space is clever.
