Absorbing, Ambitious, Resonant, Great staging

See it if very good singing , dancing. A very upbeat production. HRT put on a good show, as good as when I saw on Broadway.

Don't see it if you don't like or understand hip hop. Acting was not as consistent of other productions put on at HRT.

Refreshing, Entertaining

See it if you missed In The Heights on Broadway, this is the next best thing. A really fun show with some emerging talent

Don't see it if you're sensitive to heat, the theatre was a bit hot

Delightful, Great writing, Entertaining, Great singing, Energetic

See it if you want to see a fresh, innovative production of Lin-Manuel Miranda's musical performed by an enthusiastic, dedicated and talented company.

Clever, Entertaining

See it if you're a fan of Lin Manuel's work. Great show, wish it would come back to Broadway. Worth supporting Harlem Repertory

See it if You want to see Miranda's first Broadway hit in an intimate, community-based setting

Don't see it if You don't enjoy community theater

Disappointing, Slow, Entertaining, Great staging

See it if If you like the original show and great intimate staging with a PHENOMENAL Usnavi.

Don't see it if If you like perfect performances throughout the cast. There were a few standouts and many who just didn't seem comfortable.

Ambitious, Entertaining, Fun, Well staged

See it if You didn't catch the original. Upbeat if uneven cast, this stripped down version reveals how solid, ambitious & far-reaching the material is

Don't see it if Expensive production values are important.

Also A great effort by the Harlem Rep, and a beneficial one, keeping this s... Read more Read less

Delightful, Profound, Relevant, Great singing, Great dancing

See it if Innovative -clever writing, lyrics , singing and staging..See if you can't see Hamilton & want to see LMM's early work.

See it if What this production lacks in budget, the cast makes up for in spirit.

Don't see it if The theater space was very hot, which it made it difficult to enjoy the show.

So-so, Inconsistent talent, Spirited songs

See it if you don’t mind sitting through uneven performances in order to hear the songs that put Lin-Manuel Miranda on the map.

Don't see it if you have to pay more than $20. You saw it on Broadway. You’d be unhappy with a show that’s more of a staged concert than a revival

Also Likable characters, several memorable songs, a cliche but forgivable “... Read more Read less

Delightful, Great acting, Must see, Entertaining, Great singing

See it if you enjoy wonderful musicals, with very talented young performers who give it their all.

Cacophonous, off pitch, out of tune, puerile attempt at a really good musical

See it if You are tone deaf and want to see the brain from which Hamilton sprung. Many of the same techniques are employed here with a familiar story.

Don't see it if you care about music, dance, acting, or your ears.

Also I saw the original on B'way and decided to go back for a refresher. I ... Read more Read less

Don't see it if you don't want a family friendly show

Absorbing, Great acting, Resonant, Disappointing, Great singing

See it if You want to take a look at Lin-Manuel Miranda's early work. Songs are Hamilton-styled. The acting and singing are great!
