In 1898 Puerto Rico, fisherman Lío aids a stranded US marine, spiraling into colonial nightmare.

In the midst of July 1898, as American forces reach the shores of Southern Puerto Rico, a fateful encounter unfolds between Lío, a youthful fisherman native to Puerto Rico, and a stranded US marine. Despite their language barriers, an unexpected bond forms. Yet, as an ethereal twist of fate intervenes, Lío is thrust into a surreal realm of recurring nightmares, a harrowing cycle mirroring the harsh realities of colonial domination and exploitation.
