About the Show

Part of Theater for the New City's Dream Up Festival: Three women give voice to one character: a single, 46-year-old new mother, as she kicks and screams toward transformation.

When Mom gives birth to her first child, her sometimes tragic, often comedic struggles with the medical community, the outside world, and herself propel her into a chaotic new place. Through memories, Mom confronts her demons, insecurities, hopes, joys, sorrows, and future as she prepares to continue her life as a new mother. The titular role is portrayed by three separate performers, each representing a different facet of the character's personality and outlook on life.
