Famed theatre, film, and installation artist, and longtime Wooster Group Member Andrew Schneider returns to BAM with his newest intersection of technology, human connection, and performance.

Throughout a darkened space, an invisible narrator leads each participant through a personal and collective cosmos. Five thousand specifically programmed points of light—inspired by seeing the Milky Way for the first time, Yayoi Kusama’s Infinity Mirror Room, and  more—respond to each individual.

Through movement, narrative, and the room’s enveloping sound, N O W I S W H E N W E A R E (the stars) encourages viewers to explore bits of light within themselves and the universe.
